Roles and Responsibilities
As an Associate Project Engineer, you will be part of Hitachi’s GIS Primary Offer Engineering Team, where you will contribute to the engineering and design of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems used in transmission and sub-transmission projects.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Assist the Sales and Tendering team by preparing engineering drawings and technical documents for customer proposals.
- Develop tender-specific engineering documentation to support accurate project costing.
- Prepare customer submission drawings for GIS systems rated above 66kV.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings such as:
- Gas Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- GIS Layout Drawings
- Cable Tray Layouts
- Earthing Layouts
- Cabling Overviews
- Assembly Drawings
- Perform engineering calculations including:
- System Resistance
- Thermal Loss
- Gas Volume
- Earthing Mat Design
- Cable Calculations
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) and prepare cost estimations.
- Review your own work as well as engineering documents prepared by teammates.
- Collaborate with Sales Support Engineers, Area Sales Managers, Secondary Engineering, Project Management, Steel Structure Engineering, and Production teams.
- Deliver cost-effective and optimized engineering solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Maintain project documentation while ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and industry regulations.
- Follow Hitachi’s safety policies and uphold the company’s values of integrity, responsibility, and teamwork.
