What You’ll Be Working On
You’ll be part of the Legal & Research Technology team, which supports content systems for WestLaw, a key Thomson Reuters product. The role involves working on both infrastructure and product development projects using cloud technologies like AWS and programming languages such as Python, Groovy, JavaScript, and Angular (6+).
You’ll help build and maintain scalable, modern systems and will be part of a collaborative, agile team environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Write clean, high-quality code using Python, Groovy, JavaScript, and Angular
- Work with XML content and build self-service tools using AWS Lambdas
- Create and execute unit tests for your code
- Participate in code reviews with peers
- Understand and integrate with upstream and downstream systems
- Keep your Scrum/Agile dashboards up to date
- Take initiative in picking up and completing tasks within tight deadlines
- Contribute ideas for system improvements

You’re a great fit if you have:
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
- Good knowledge of Python, Groovy, Angular, and optionally Scala
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS
